Choosing
Which length should I choose?
Measure the shelf or rail you want to light and pick the closest size below it. As a rough guide: 10–20 cm for a drawer or small cupboard, 30 cm for a single wardrobe, 40–50 cm for a double wardrobe or a full-height cabinet.
Silver or black?
Purely aesthetic — the light output is identical. Silver disappears against pale interiors and melamine shelving; black suits dark wood and painted cabinetry.
Single or three-pack?
A wardrobe usually needs light in more than one place: the hanging rail, the shelf above, and the floor below. The three-pack works out cheaper per light, so most people start there.
Can I use more than one?
Yes. Each light works independently, so several can share a wardrobe or a run of cupboards without interfering with each other.
Installing
Do I need tools or wiring?
No. The light comes with a magnetic mounting plate and an adhesive strip. Peel, press, done — no screws, no drilling, nothing hard-wired.
Will the adhesive hold?
On a clean, dry, flat surface, yes. Wipe the area with rubbing alcohol, let it dry, then press the plate firmly for thirty seconds. Textured, dusty or freshly painted surfaces are the usual culprits when one comes loose.
Will it damage my furniture?
The adhesive is designed to hold firmly but comes away cleanly with gentle heat from a hairdryer. We would still recommend testing an inconspicuous spot first on delicate veneers.
Can I mount it on metal?
Yes — the back plate is magnetic, so it will click straight onto anything steel without using the adhesive at all.
Using
How do the modes work?
One button. Press once for always on, twice for night sensor (movement in the dark only), three times for all-day sensor, four times to switch off.
It keeps turning on by itself — why?
You are probably in all-day sensor mode in a spot that sees a lot of passing movement. Switch to night sensor mode, which ignores movement when there is already light in the room.
How long does a charge last?
Over five hours of continuous light. In normal use — around eight activations a day — a full charge lasts roughly three months. Charging takes about three hours over USB: red means charging, green means done.
Do I have to take it down to charge?
Lift the bar off its magnetic plate, charge it, and click it back on. The plate stays where it is.
Can I change the light colour?
Yes — every light is 3-in-1, giving you warm, neutral and cool white, with stepless dimming to set the brightness.
Orders
Where do you ship?
Everywhere — Dwellio ships worldwide, including domestic delivery within Sri Lanka. Full delivery estimates are on the Shipping page.
How long will delivery take?
Orders leave us within 1–2 business days. After that, 2–5 business days within Sri Lanka, 5–9 business days to the UK, 6–12 to the US, 7–14 to Australia, and typically 10–25 business days elsewhere.
What if I change my mind?
You have 30 days from delivery to return anything in resaleable condition. Details are on the Returns & Warranty page.
Is there a warranty?
Twelve months from delivery against manufacturing faults — sensor failure, a battery that will not hold charge, LED failure. We cover postage both ways on warranty claims.
